COLOR CONSIGLIERE
Pre-Lock Finishing & Visual Continuity
Independent features often need a fast, professional color pass for festival submissions, investor screenings, sales presentations, or work-in-progress reviews long before final finishing begins.
A temporary grade can dramatically improve consistency, tone, and presentation, helping footage feel intentional and cinematic rather than flat, unfinished, or technically distracting. Even a streamlined pass can unify scenes, establish a cohesive visual language, soften production limitations, and help directors present the strongest possible version of the film while editorial continues to evolve.
This becomes especially important when early cuts are being shown before picture lock, where filmmakers are often expected to present material that already carries the visual confidence of a finished project. Professionally graded footage also becomes immediately usable for trailers, teasers, promotional materials, and early marketing campaigns.
As your Color Consigliere, we coordinate a focused finishing workflow designed specifically for early screenings and submissions. We can also manage end credits, lay back your latest audio mix, and prepare presentation-ready deliverables for festival and investor use.
While collaboration and review sessions are conducted remotely, all color grading and finishing work is performed within a professional DI environment. On delivery day, clients receive both, your approved Color Timed Master (CTM) and a FilmFreeway-ready screener file (1080p H.264 .mp4) prepared for immediate submission.
“A DI Producer by trade, but in practice: helping unfinished films present with finished confidence.”
